WHO WE ARE
JK Green Foundation is an international non-profit, community-based environmental and humanitarian organisation established to respond to the growing challenges faced by communities across Northeast State of Somalia. The foundation was created in recognition of the increasing impacts of drought, water scarcity, environmental degradation, and climate vulnerability affecting livelihoods, ecosystems, and access to essential resources.
Headquartered in Laascanood, JK Green Foundation operates across multiple districts within Northeast State, working in close collaboration with local communities, volunteers, and local authorities. Our approach is rooted in community participation, local knowledge, and practical action, ensuring that interventions are relevant, respectful, and sustainable.
The foundation focuses on delivering both immediate humanitarian support and longer-term environmental solutions. Through initiatives such as emergency water response, ecosystem restoration, tree planting, and environmental awareness, JK Green Foundation aims to protect natural resources while strengthening community resilience.

Jamac Kadiye Legacy
JK Green Foundation is named in honour of Jamac Kadiye, a respected Somali poet, whose legacy continues to inspire community responsibility, resilience, and respect for people and the environment.
By carrying this name, the foundation commits itself to serving communities with integrity, responsibility, and a long-term vision, ensuring that environmental and humanitarian efforts contribute to lasting positive change across Northeast State of Somalia.
