Water Security & Drought Response
Water scarcity remains one of the most urgent challenges affecting communities across Northeast State of Somalia. JK Green Foundation supports drought-affected communities through emergency water delivery, community support initiatives, and coordination with local authorities.
Alongside emergency response, the foundation aims to explore sustainable water solutions that reduce long-term reliance on water trucking, subject to feasibility, partnerships, and available resources.
Environmental Protection & Tree Planting
Environmental degradation and deforestation increase vulnerability to drought and climate impacts. JK Green Foundation works to restore degraded land through tree planting, ecosystem restoration, and environmental protection activities.
Our initiatives focus on locally appropriate, drought-resilient species and active community participation to ensure long-term environmental benefits.
Community Engagement & Environmental Awareness
Strong community engagement is central to sustainable environmental action. JK Green Foundation promotes environmental awareness and community participation through education, local collaboration, and inclusive approaches.
These efforts aim to strengthen local capacity, encourage environmental responsibility, and support community-led climate resilience.
Planned and Future Initiatives
In addition to current activities, JK Green Foundation is developing plans to support longer-term water security solutions, including community-based water storage and water reservoir systems.
These initiatives are subject to technical assessments, partnerships, and available funding, and are intended to complement emergency response while strengthening community resilience.
